Goals and Course Description

Low sexual desire has emerged as the most prevalent sexual concern among today's adults, undermining health and work productivity, as well as relationship satisfaction, parenting, and family stability.

This workshop will focus on holistic treatment of low sexual desire, with case histories of individuals and couples. Power point images will illustrate the theory of mind-body functioning, integrating sexuality, life energy, and cognitive/emotional defenses. The impact of character on sexual desire will be discussed with an introduction to phallic, hysteric, oral, and masochistic character structures.

Dr. MacIlvaine's holistic orientation can be previewed at sextherapysandiego.com and  emotionalcontact.com.
